Soft hanging belly

The previous response sounds perhaps good, but all I know is do NOT seek out trans fats... They're legit so bad for you that they're illegal to be in food in Europe

Soft hanging belly

HamBeesly:
Generally, you can’t direct where your fat distributes. The only thing you can do is simply eat more calories than you burn and your body will store that extra fat where it will.

Scientific studies have shown MANY times that the chemical composition of the food one eats as well as various lifestyle choices can have significant effects on one's fat distribution.

Of course eating on that way is unhealthy. But visceral fat is located on belly.

OP wants a soft hanging belly, not a hard belly filled with visceral fat.

If you want a soft belly, you'll want to gain primarily subcutaneous fat. It's the soft squishy fat that deposits directly under the skin. There's another main fat deposit in the body called visceral fat. Visceral fat deposits around one's internal organs under their abdominal muscles. When one has an excess of visceral fat, their belly will protrude. As their visceral fat is covered with their abdominal muscles, an abdominally obese belly will feel hard and firm as opposed to soft. Their visceral fat will also stretch their layer of abdominal subcutaneous fat thinner, making it less soft.

These two fat deposits are metabolically distinct. Large excesses of subcutaneous fat are metabolically benign while excess visceral fat tends to make one develop metabolic syndrome.

Based on my research, the following advice should help one gain primarily subcutaneous fat.

"I suggest overeating foods with high amounts of the long chain saturated fatty acids palmitic and stearic acid as these fats help reduce visceral fat. Dairy fat and cacao butter have lots of them so they're good for gaining primarily subcutaneous fat. Lots of gainers like using heavy cream to gain. Omega-6 fatty acids(linoleic acid(most of soybean oil)) interfere with that beneficial effect and cause visceral fat gains so I recommend minimizing that. Alcohol and sugar(especially fructose) cause visceral fat gains too so only have them in moderation. If you have carbs, try to opt for whole over refined. The fiber helps lower visceral gains.

Here is a thread I made with loads of scientific studies on fat's effects on health and how to affect fat distribution:
Compendium of Fat Studies"

You will not get better advice then this. Want to look fat with less visceral fat? Eat heavy creams whenever you can, you will gain weight faster.

LukeWoody:
Would you suggest mixing heavy creams with things like drinks instead of milk?

Yes, you can put it in your coffees, if you make it a on regular basis you will explode very fast. You will feel what it's mean later gains...
